Welcome to urmusclemate support. urmusclemate is a gym companion from Muhammad Saad Ullah that helps you learn what each gym machine trains, explore an exercise and muscle-anatomy library, follow ready-made routines, and log your workouts with friends. Frequently asked questions
How does scanning a machine work?
Many gym machines have a code printed on them. In urmusclemate:
- Tap the Scan action.
- Grant camera permission the first time (the camera is used only for
scanning).
- Point your camera at the code on the machine — or take a photo of the machine
itself to let the AI recognise it.
urmusclemate shows you the matching exercise — including the muscles it trains. **Code scans happen entirely on your device: no photos are captured, stored, or uploaded. The optional photo scan** sends only the photo you take to our recognition service to identify the machine; the photo is not stored. If a machine isn't recognised, you can still find the exercise using Search or by browsing the library.
Do I need an account?
No — you can **browse the library, search, scan machines, and view routines without an account. You need an account to log workouts**, keep a training history, earn XP, and add friends.
How do I log a workout?
- Enter your email and choose a unique username (email + one-time code —
there is no password).
- Start a workout and add the exercises you performed (search, browse, or scan
to find them).
- For each exercise, add your sets — reps, weight, and optional RPE
(rate of perceived exertion).
- Add optional notes, then save. The workout is saved with the date so you can
review your history and simple stats later.
Logging, history, and import are free for a trial period and then part of the optional urmusclemate Pro subscription. Browsing, scanning, and routines stay free forever.
How do I change units (kg/lb) or the theme?
Open the Profile tab and adjust your preferences:
- Units — switch between kilograms and pounds.
- Appearance / theme — choose light, dark, or follow your system setting.
These preferences are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers.
What are XP, levels, streaks, friends, and leaderboards?
Once you have an account, urmusclemate gives you XP for the training you log, with one-time milestone awards and a weekly training streak. You can share your username with someone you train with; once they accept, you can both see a weekly leaderboard of this week's XP. A worldwide leaderboard shows everyone's username and weekly XP publicly — yours included. Nobody can see your workouts — only your username, level, streak, and weekly XP.
How do I export / download my data?
In the App, go to Profile → Download my data. urmusclemate exports your workout history as a CSV file you can save or move elsewhere.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account and all of its data at any time:
- In the App: Profile → Manage account → Delete account, then confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent.
- By request: email saadmac09@gmail.com from your account's email
address.

I didn't receive my sign-in code. What do I do?
Check your spam or promotions folder and make sure you entered the email address correctly. On the sign-in screen, tap Resend code to send a fresh one. Codes expire after a short time; each new code replaces the previous one.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the store you purchased through: open your App Store or Google Play account settings, find the subscription, and cancel it there. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
